Booking Terms & Conditions

  1. AGE & IDENTIFICATION: Urban Axes is a 21+ facility, but may host events for people age 12+. All guests, or their parents/guardians, must provide valid photo identification in order to check in to their event.
  2. WAIVER: All participants must read and accept our Release of Liability form before participating in any activities.
  3. DEPOSIT: All axe throwing and football bowling bookings will be charged a deposit when the booking is made.
    1. Axe throwing: 1 Hour Social Throwing will be charged a deposit equal to one (1) participant; 1.5 Hour Private Event: 4-6 Thrower and 2 Hour Private Event: 7-10 Thrower bookings will be charged a deposit equal to two (2) participants; 2 Hour Private Event: 11-20 Thrower bookings will be charged a deposit equal to three (3) participants; 2 Hour Private Event: 21-30 Thrower bookings will be charged a deposit equal to four (4) participants; 2 Hour Private Event: 31-40 Thrower bookings will be charged a deposit equal to (6) participants. Custom Event and Backyard Bash bookings will be charged a deposit equal to thirty percent (30%) of total charge. For Leagues, payment in full is required at the time of booking.
    2. Football Bowling, a $50 deposit is required for all reservations.
  4. BALANCE: Any outstanding balance must be paid at the time of the event. If, after the conclusion of your event, the full balance has not been paid the credit card used to make the deposit will be charged for the outstanding balance on the event. All payments must be made with debit or credit card, we do not accept cash.
  5. MINIMUM GROUP BOOKING OBLIGATION: If, at the time of your event, the number of participants in your group is fewer than the booking minimum for your group size, your group will be charged the booking minimum.
  6. NO-SHOW FORFEIT: Your deposit is non-refundable in the event that you do not show for your booking.
  7. SPECTATORS: At Urban Axes and 1st and Tenpin, we don’t believe in spectating! We believe everyone can throw, even if you think you can’t. If you must spectate, or are physically unable to throw, we may ask that you spectate from the bar area, if we’re too packed with people having fun throwing axes.

Cancellations

Axe Throwing: Full or Partial Venue Buyouts and Backyard Bash events are subject to our 2-week cancellation policy, all other group bookings are subject to our 1-week cancellation policy. If you need to cancel or reschedule your event then, as long as you give us at least one weeks’ notice (or two weeks’ notice for buyouts), your deposit will be refunded or transferred to your new reservation, whichever you prefer. If you cancel will less than the required notice period, your deposit will be forfeited.

If your booking has an add-on package that includes catering, you must provide 72 hours’ notice in the event you need to cancel or reschedule so we may change the order with the catering partner. If you cancel or reschedule your event within the 72 hour period before your original event date and time, you will be charged for the add on package.

Football Bowling: Your deposit is refundable provided you cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours prior to your reservation.

Downsizing Events: Axe Throwing

If you book an 11-20 person group and your headcount falls to 10 or less people, you MUST give us at least 72 HOURS notice to adjust your booking, otherwise you will be charged a minimum of 11 participants.

Bookings for 21 people or more MUST give us at least 7 day’s notice to downsize to a smaller group size, otherwise you will be charged for the minimum number of participants of your current booking size.

Management's Discretion

Urban Axes and 1st and Tenpin reserve the right to refuse admittance, cease to provide services to, or eject any individual or group of individuals that fail to abide by the published rules and regulations of the event, and/or the direction of Urban Axes and 1st and Tenpin staff, without refund or recourse.
